Labour Day actions in Pakistan
 
Working class found new ways of expressing their angst and joys

Workers around the world celebrated International Labour Day 2004 to pay rich tributes to Chicago Martyrs and commemorate the historic struggle of working people. May Day was born from the struggle for the demand of eight-hour working a day along with wages increase and better environment. That struggle, in turn, emerged as part and parcel of the working class itself.

All Pakistan Trade Union Federation (APTUF) / Working Women Organization (WWO) celebrated May Day 2004 with full zeal and enthusiasm with the slogan of "Revolt Against Capitalist Globalization & Privatization" hold rallies and processions in big cities of Pakistan for peace, job security, dignity and democratic right s, to forge links and unity among the working class, strengthen them to fight against prevailing injustice, inequality, denial of basic rights and the capitalist monopoly, which is horribly controlling the economy of the world.
